Marcus Lee

Marcus Lee

Co-Founder and Principal Conductor

At the heart of our academy is Marcus Lee, a choral director and educator based in Singapore. With over fifteen years of experience, Marcus has dedicated his career to supporting the growth of young singers across Asia. He holds a Master of Arts in Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Conducting from the Centro Escolar Conservatory of Music. His extensive professional credentials include a DipLCM in Choral Conducting and an ALCM Diploma in Music Performance (Voice) from the University of West London, as well as an ATCL Diploma with Distinction in Singing from Trinity College London.

A Journey of Growth and Achievement
Marcus’s commitment to his students is reflected in the milestones they have reached together. Under his guidance, youth ensembles have performed on international stages, earning honors at the Jeju World Youth Choral Festival and the Singapore International Choral Cantat. These achievements highlight the progress, discipline, and teamwork he encourages in every singer.

A Respected Voice in the Choral Community
Beyond the classroom, Marcus is frequently invited to share his expertise as a speaker and adjudicator at various regional and international festivals. In 2025, he contributed to events such as the Bandung Choral Symposium and the Nusantara Choir Folk Festival, supporting and evaluating choral programs across the region.

Marcus also serves the wider music community as the founder of Muziksea and the Vocabella Ladies Choir. Through One Voice Choral Academy, he looks forward to welcoming your family and helping the next generation of singers discover their own voices.

Samantha Wee

Samantha Wee

Conductor and Kodaly Specialist

Samantha Wee obtained her Master’s degree in Kodály Music Pedagogy at the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Kecskemét, Hungary, where she specialised in vocal pedagogy and choral conducting. She also holds Grade 8 ABRSM certifications in both piano performance and music theory.

A Choral Journey Across Continents
Samantha’s passion for choral music blossomed from her early experiences as a school chorister and continued into adulthood through her involvement with many notable choral and vocal ensembles. These experiences led her to perform and compete on international stages across Asia, Europe, and the United States. In 2022, she made the decision to pursue choral conducting as a professional path, beginning with her participation in the Choral Collective Residency Programme (CCRP) as a chorister.

An Educator Rooted in Process and Community
As an educator, Samantha believes in making learning engaging, meaningful, and process-focused, rather than outcome-driven. She invests much of her creative energy in building strong musicianship within the choirs she teaches. As a conductor, she is equally committed to fostering a sense of community, ensuring her choirs become safe and supportive spaces where choristers feel empowered to express themselves through music.

Programs

Junior Programme (Ages 8–12)

Focus: Foundation & Discovery

Our Junior Choral Program offers a vibrant space where children transform their love for singing into true vocal excellence. We bridge the gap between early discovery and advanced performance through a unique pedagogy that blends the best of global choral traditions. By focusing on essential musicianship—including ear training, vocal technique, and music literacy—we empower our students to master beautiful harmonies and read sheet music with ease and confidence.

We believe that to find their own voice, students should understand the great voices of the past. Our curriculum introduces children to historically significant repertoire, from the elegant layers of Renaissance polyphony to the rich stories of global folk traditions. This exploration gives your child a deep, lifelong appreciation for musical heritage and culture.

Senior Programme (Ages 12–16)

Focus: Artistry & Elite Performance

The Senior Choral Program is designed for young singers ready to transition from foundational learning to commanding vocal artistry. At this level, we shift our focus toward the nuances of advanced performance, refining the technical precision and emotional depth required for the modern stage. Our choristers don’t just sing notes; they master the craft of sophisticated ensemble singing, developing the blend, balance, and stylistic versatility needed for complex choral literature.

Our curriculum challenges students with a diverse and demanding repertoire, ranging from complex contemporary works to masterful choral classics. By engaging with high-level musicality and advanced sight-reading, students cultivate a professional discipline that prepares them for international stages and competitive festivals. We push the boundaries of “one voice”, teaching our singers how to lead with their sound and communicate powerful narratives through music.

At this pinnacle of our academy, we nurture confident performers who possess the poise and technical know-how to shine in the spotlight. This is where dedication meets excellence, shaping the next generation of choral leaders and expressive artists.
