Teacher Siti

Siti Hasia Hakeem graduated in 2016 from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), School of Music with a Diploma in Music majoring in Vocal Studies. She also possesses a Grade 8 Rockschool Pop Vocals certificate.

As a soprano, Siti has performed for concerts at NAFA and beyond. These include singing in the opera chorus for Humperdinck’s opera 'Hansel and Gretel' and in the chorus for the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s Gala performance of Bizet’s opera ‘Carmen’. Siti also sang in a dance/new music collaboration with Arts Fission titled ‘In the name of Red’.

One memorable performance was for a 2016 concert titled ‘A Night of Cabaret Music’ where Siti sang Benjamin Britten's 'Tell me the truth about love'. Her performance was reviewed in The Straits Times as “one of the evening’s best performances” with “a most natural way with words and movements to match”.

Since graduating, Siti has been keeping busy as a music educator. As a vocal instructor, Siti loves helping her students reach their full singing potential so that they can express themselves freely through song. Siti is also teaches early childhood music and beginner piano, and loves guiding young children into their first exploration of music!
